Introduced in 1990, the 994 Wheel Loader is now the preferred machine of customers in its category for 25 years. Motivated by the satisfaction and success of our customers, we constantly strive to design new series that perpetuate the tradition of reliability, safety, driver comfort, ease of maintenance, and sustainability.
All images included in this Specalog show a configuration equivalent to Tier 1 EPA standards for the United States/Stage I for the European Union. It is important to note that the configuration equivalent to Tier 4 Final/Stage V for the European Union will have different characteristics, including the presence of a DEF tank.

Structures
Robust Structures Boost your results with ultra-resistant structures capable of performing multiple life cycles and supporting the most difficult loading conditions. The fully enclosed rear chassis resists both torsional forces and shocks, in order to optimize the lifespan of the installed components. The chassis uses moldings in key areas to optimize the chassis lifespan and efficiency. The mounting of the rear axle on the chassis is optimized to better dissipate stress for increased structural integrity. Handling Arms Our lifting arms, whose efficiency has been proven many times in the field, are essential for maximum availability and productivity. Excellent visibility on the bucket blades and work area thanks to the Z-linkage. High load constraints are absorbed by the solid steel lifting arms. Increased resistance in key areas thanks to the use of monobloc moldings. Stress-free lifting arms increase lifespan. Front Linkage To ensure long lifespan and high reliability, the linkage axis joints have a greased pin design and a standard automatic lubrication system.
Powertrain Group
Rotor Clutch Torque Converter (ICTC) and Rim Effort Control System (RCS) Reduce your cost per ton by using advanced ICTC and RCS systems to control the effort at the rim. Reduce tire slippage and wear by controlling the effort at the rim from 100 to 25% using the left brake pedal. Once the position corresponding to a 25% reduction in rim effort is reached, the pedal is used for braking again. Decrease the risk of wheel slippage without reducing the hydraulic efficiency of the machine thanks to RCS. Improve energy efficiency in certain applications with the lock-up torque converter for direct drive. Steering and Integrated Transmission Control System (STIC™) Benefit from maximum responsiveness and control with the STIC system, which combines direction selection, gear selection, and steering in a single lever. A simple movement of the lever to the right or left allows for turning, minimizing driver effort. Ultra-easy gear selection at the touch of a finger. High torque reserve: a 39% torque reserve provides high overload force for excavation and acceleration under heavy rim effort conditions. Longer stroke and lower nominal engine speed extend the engine's lifespan. Quick engine response thanks to the use of electronic controls. Economy Mode Provides maximum productivity and efficiency day after day. The systems of the 994K implement advanced technologies to help you save fuel. By using demand acceleration, drivers can maintain normal operation with the left pedal and equipment, while the 994K manages the engine speed. Hydraulic circuit
Positive Flow Control Hydraulic Circuit Increases efficiency with our positive flow control hydraulic system. The positive flow control has simultaneous control of pump and valve. By optimizing pump control, the hydraulic oil flow is proportional to the lever movement of the equipment. The four variable displacement, electronically controlled pumps allow for fast and productive cycles. Vital Information Management System (VIMS™) Connect directly to the machine to access a wide range of sensor and machine data. Security
Access to the Machine We are constantly improving our products to provide a safe working environment for the operator and people working on the site. Access to the Machine Wider stairs with 45° angles provide easy access to the 994K for operators. The wide walkways have non-slip surfaces and locking/tagging points integrated into maintenance areas. Windshield cleaning platforms provide secure and convenient access for the operator. Three points of contact can be maintained at all times through maintenance areas accessible from the ground or a platform. The emergency exit ladder provides a third exit if necessary. Visibility Cat Detect, which includes Cat Vision plus an object detection radar system, improves the operator's awareness of the machine's surroundings. Standard installed LED headlights provide excellent visibility of the work area. Programmable LED warning lights for site-specific signaling. The six-mirror system improves the driver's vision of the sides and rear of the machine. A heated option is also available. Retractable sunshade as standard. A higher cab position to improve visibility during dump truck loading operations. Operator's Station The cab's viscous mounts and air-suspension seat reduce machine vibrations felt by the operator. The instructor seat for the operator, equipped with a 76mm (3in) seat belt, facilitates the training of a new operator. Motorized Access System The Cat motorized access system allows for easier access to the first steps by allowing for easier climbing onto or descending from the rear platform. A safe and ergonomic access system. All operators have enough space to safely use the wide stairs. The use of handrails located on both sides of the stairs ensures a constant three-point contact.
