Optimize Performance
Move more material at a lower cost. The proven powertrain and Auto Shift function provide both great ground power and very good energy efficiency. Move up to 13% more material with each pass, with the widest standard blade in its class (10.3 m³/13.5 yd3). Keep working even in high temperatures, thanks to highly efficient cooling functionality. The Autoshift transmission automatically downshifts to the most efficient gear based on the load, helping to reduce fuel consumption. The dual tilt option optimizes blade tilt, providing improved productivity of up to 10%. Note: compared to previous D8R/D8T models.
Designed to be Performant
The Cat C15 Engine has proven reliability for over ten years in a wide range of working conditions. More ground power thanks to the Powershift transmission with planetary gears and high-efficiency differential coupler. The robust chassis design absorbs violent shocks and torsional forces. The pivot shaft design allows the machine to better follow ground contours, providing maximum traction and great comfort for the operator. The raised sprocket helps protect key components from violent shocks. Additionally, it offers a modular design for convenient maintenance. Specific equipment and steering pump allow you to benefit from both responsive blade control and exceptional steering performance. The differential steering provides exceptional maneuverability, even with a full blade. Note: compared to previous D8R/D8T models.
Resist the Heat of the Desert
Its ability to withstand high ambient temperatures makes the D8 particularly suitable for extreme heat. You can therefore work for longer periods without having to stop the machine. Switch to second gear to work faster without overheating. Choose from various factory options to maintain machine performance and lifespan in sandy or extremely abrasive conditions. The turbine pre-filter prevents particles from entering the engine system. The rigid-bottomed engine enclosure doors help prevent sand from entering, providing improved cooling and reduced cleaning. The special fan coating and radiator beam protection offer high resistance to abrasion. The reverse function is disabled on the variable speed hydraulic fan. The sealed lower shield and additional seals prevent fine abrasive particles from entering the components. Access panels facilitate cleaning without having to remove the lower shield. Replaceable wear plates increase the lifespan of the blades in abrasive conditions.
Mastering and Driving Comfort
The integrated Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) provides excellent 360-degree visibility, which improves productivity. The quieter interior, with better pressurization, helps prevent dust penetration. For greater driver comfort, the standard air suspension seat is adjustable. Optional electrohydraulic controls reduce driver effort, improve precision and responsiveness, and allow for the use of Cat grade technologies. Preselect forward/reverse gears with a bidirectional control to reduce effort and improve efficiency. Equipment neutralization prevents accidental operation of hydraulic work tools. The optional Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) places machine data, settings menus, leveling control data, and more directly in front of the driver. The LCD display is pre-equipped for a rear camera for added safety.
Because Productive Time Matters
Cat tractors are equipped with features such as wide access doors to the engine panel, to minimize maintenance and repair times. New exclusive Cat oil filters for the hydraulic circuit and powertrain offer extended service intervals, saving time and money. Environmentally friendly drain valves limit spills when replacing powertrain fluids. The ground-level fast fuel filling system, with its fuel cut-off device to prevent spills, reduces fuel losses/spills and speeds up filling, optimizing productive time. The very fast oil drain device can make maintenance even faster. The cabin-mounted air conditioning condenser contributes to improved system performance, enhanced engine cooling, and easier maintenance. Equipped for the tasks to be performed
When your operations are carried out in particularly difficult conditions, equip your tractor with various factory options for greater protection and better performance. The waste/landfill loader version is equipped with special protection, scraping bars, and special seals that protect the machine from shocks and debris that wrap around/are present in the air. The easily cleanable cooling system is designed for environments with a large amount of debris. Specialized air processing functions provide clean air for the machine. The sanitary discharge blades and centrally recessed chain pads help optimize your waste/landfill loader for the task at hand. Different factory options, such as undercarriages, reducers, and specialized fluids/lubricants, allow you to equip your tractor for operations in extreme cold. The Arctic cabin with double glazing, as well as the optional heated pneumatic suspension seat, provide the driver with greater comfort in very cold weather.
