Engine
C15 CAT® Engine The C15 Engine develops a gross power (SAE J1995) of 403 kW (540 HP). The combination of a large displacement and high torque allows the RM500B to operate in the most challenging conditions. Engine compliant with Tier 3/Stage IIIA emission standards.
Robust cooling circuit
Reversible Cooling Fan The cooling fan is reversible and automatically performs regular reverse cycles to clean the heat exchanger by expelling accumulated dust. This way, the system cools better and the engine operates optimally.
Electronic controlled all-wheel drive
Four Translation Pumps, Four Drive Motors Four translation pumps provide a dedicated flow rate to the four drive motors. The pulling force is therefore greater on soft terrain. Load Detection System The load detection system is controlled by the electronic control module. It adjusts the translation speed to the load applied to the motor. Two Speed Ranges The two speed ranges allow the machine to operate either at maximum torque to advance the machine in the most difficult conditions or at the fastest speed to simply move around the site. Continuous Variable Speed of the Machine The continuous variable speeds of the machine are determined by the translation lever and the speed control buttons located on the keypad block.
Cabin
Cabin Mounted on Pressurized Silentblocks The cabin mounted on silentblocks and pressurized reduces vibrations and offers optimal comfort by limiting the penetration of noise, dust, and other elements. Cabin Elements The following features further enhance driver comfort: 1) Heating/air conditioning controls. 2) Left and right access doors. 3) Rotating heated fabric seat with integrated controls. 4) Soundproof headliner. 5) Tinted windows. 6) Front windshield wiper. 7) Padded floor mats. 8) Two front speakers. 9) Radio pre-wiring. 10) Extra-strong silentblocks. Additional Amenities for the Driver Other amenities are provided, such as two cup holders and a 12-volt outlet. The cabin can also accommodate a radio and includes a power transformer, an antenna with cable, two speakers, and a housing in the headliner for a radio. Cabin Offering Exceptional Visibility The cabin offers exceptional visibility of the front tire edges, the mixing chamber, and the rear wheels.
Driving position
Sliding Cabin The cabin slides to the left and right and can be positioned to optimize visibility. Driver's Seat The comfortable and sturdy seat is equipped with a mini steering wheel and a control console with a touch LCD screen and a translation manipulator. The seat and the side control console rotate 180° to improve driver comfort. The heated seat provides increased comfort in cold weather. Seat belt equipped as standard. Control Console The control console integrated into the driver's seat provides access to controls at the touch of a finger, regardless of the seat position. An integrated touch LCD screen displays machine operating data and diagnostics, and alerts the driver to any potential issues. A backlit keyboard allows access to controls even in insufficient lighting. Several rotor control buttons are conveniently placed on the translation lever, allowing the driver to stay focused on their work without having to look away to locate the button to use. Remote Camera System Remote cameras placed at the front and rear of the machine transmit real-time video images to a display unit installed on the dashboard. The video enhances driver visibility at the front and rear of the machine. An optional third camera can provide views of the rear of the mixing chamber. Touchscreen LCD Display The touchscreen LCD display provides a clear presentation of instruments and basic diagnostics, and alerts the driver to any performance issues. The screens are easy to understand and have intuitive navigation. Mini Steering Wheel Steering The RM500B is steered using a mini steering wheel integrated into the left armrest of the driver's seat. The control is very comfortable to handle and allows precise and effortless control of the machine. Translation Lever with Thumb Control Buttons The translation lever is located on the control console integrated into the right armrest of the driver's seat. Moving the translation lever forward from the neutral position increases the forward speed; moving it backward increases the reverse speed. The lever has six thumb control buttons for easy control of rotor functions.
Rotor training
Powershift Cat Transmission A Powershift Cat transmission drives the rotor. Its size allows it to handle the most difficult cuts and thickest mixtures. Extra-Strong Gearboxes The extra-strong gearboxes with four planetary supports ensure the reliability of the rotor drive. Robust Drive Chains The robust drive chains continuously transmit the necessary power to the rotor. These simple yet extra-strong chains resist any breakage. Three Rotor Speeds Three rotor speeds are provided for optimal performance regardless of the material and cutting depth. The first speed is mainly suitable for material spraying. The second and third speeds can be used for different mixing and blending passes. Large Capacity High-capacity rotor transmission shafts and maintenance-free universal joints. Extra-Strong Shear Disc or Optional Torque Limiter Extra-strong shear disc or optional torque limiter protect the rotor drive components from torsional stress and shocks.
Mixing room
Mixing Chamber The mixing chamber allows the rotor to move independently so that its capacity increases with deep cuts. The material is thus better mixed. Rotor in Central Position Rotor in central position using the weight of the machine to keep the rotor in the material and achieve a regular working depth. Bidirectional Mixing The machine's bidirectional mixing capacity increases its efficiency. Extra-Sturdy Router Bars The extra-sturdy router bars allow for uniform sizing. Hydraulically Adjustable Rear Hatch The hydraulically adjustable rear hatch allows for optimal control of particle size and greater material homogeneity. Hydraulically Adjustable Front Hatch The hydraulically adjustable front hatch allows for better control of reverse sizing. Side Inspection Doors The side access doors allow for quick and easy replacement of cutting tools at the ends of the rotor.

Front Trap with Hydraulic Control The front trap with hydraulic control allows the driver to control the opening of the front hydraulic trap from their position. Two Hydraulic Cylinders The two hydraulic cylinders provide greater lifting power and precise control of the front trap. Front Trap Raising While Remaining Parallel The front trap raises while remaining parallel to the cutting surface to avoid "plowing" the material in a hard stabilizing soil. Forward or Reverse Forward and reverse provide greater flexibility for soil stabilization.
