The CAT 6060 hydraulic shovel for mining applications is the most popular hydraulic loading shovel in its size category. And for good reason. With a rated payload of 61 tonnes (67 US tons), the Cat 6060 is the first mining shovel custom-built for mines using 240-tonne (218 US ton) haul trucks, providing an efficient solution to meet the production capacity needs of these environments. The 6060 remains the ideal shovel for these applications today, with improvements in terms of long life and reliability to deliver the availability you expect. And its powerful engine and efficient hydraulic circuit allow for higher working speeds for fast cycle times. This results in greater productivity and reduced overall operating costs.

Excellent visibility thanks to the position of the cabin which offers a clear view of the excavation and loading areas, glass floor that offers a view of the chains, LED lighting and optional surveillance center with camera. Emergency exit ladder with automatic closing door located in direct proximity to the cabin. Safer access thanks to a motorized access ladder, placed at a 45° angle with emergency lowering using a nitrogen accumulator, which ensures that the ladder remains operational even when the engines are turned off. Safer electrical and/or mechanical maintenance thanks to a cabinet with lockable starter and battery isolation switch. Safer maintenance thanks to improved sealing between the engines and hydraulic pumps, better routing and separation of hydraulic pipes and electrical cables.

More space in the maintenance compartment, simplified access to swivel housings, rotary distributor, oil cooler, etc. The clear layout of components on the superstructure facilitates access and maintenance. Sets of hoses that can be locally built using all Cat materials. Access to the ET CAT electronic device that allows dealership maintenance personnel to diagnose and more easily avoid problems. Reduced maintenance downtime thanks to increased engine oil and engine filter replacement intervals, which have been extended from 500 to 1,000 hours.
