Easy To Use
The electrohydraulic circuit of the machine allows for precise control of the bucket for maximum accuracy. Start the engine using a push button. Navigate quickly on the 203 mm (8 in) touchscreen monitor. Effortlessly maneuver the hydraulic excavator using easily accessible controls located in front of you. Program your preferences for power mode, joystick grid, and joystick response using the driver ID. The hydraulic excavator will automatically remember your selections.
Easy Maintenance
Perform daily maintenance operations at ground level. Savings of up to 20% on maintenance costs compared to the 320D2 L model thanks to improved filters and longer, synchronized maintenance intervals (savings calculated over 12,000 machine operating hours). The air intake filter with pre-filter has double the dust retention capacity compared to the previous air intake filter. The oil in the reducer and swing reducer doubles the initial lifespan: from 250 to 500 hours. Replacement of all fuel filters at synchronized intervals of 1,000 hours (twice as long as with previous filters). The hydraulic oil filter offers better filtration performance, as well as check valves to keep the oil perfectly clean when the filter is replaced. In addition, its lifespan is extended and its replacement interval is 3,000 hours (50% longer than previous filter designs). The grease retained between the pins and bushings of the chain reduces noise and prevents debris from entering to extend the lifespan of the undercarriage. The auto preheating accelerates the warming of hydraulic oil in cold weather and helps extend the lifespan of components. Advansys™ bucket tips improve penetration and cycle times. They can be quickly replaced using a simple wheel nut wrench, without the need for a hammer or special tool, which improves safety and increases productive time. The S·O·SSM oil sampling ports are located at ground level, which simplifies maintenance and allows for quick and easy sampling of liquid for analysis purposes.
Low Operating Costs
The hydraulic excavator uses up to 15% less fuel than the 320D2 L in similar applications. Adapt the hydraulic excavator to the work to be done with two power modes: Power and Smart. The Power mode offers optimal permanent efficiency. The Smart mode automatically adjusts the engine power and hydraulic power to excavation conditions in order to limit fuel consumption without impacting production. Product Link™ is provided as standard so that you can remotely monitor fuel consumption, as well as the machine's status, location, and operating hours on demand via the VisionLink® online interface. Save fuel with Automatic Engine Control (AEC). It reduces the engine speed when the machine is not under load in order to limit fuel consumption.
Reliability of Performance
A versatile machine that performs well in applications with a hammer and bucket. The booms and arms are welded by a robotic system and controlled by ultrasound to ensure maximum lifespan. Reliable, durable, and based on classic and proven parts. The Cat C4.4 engine and electrohydraulic circuit work together to move large quantities of material while using less fuel. Fast cycle times provide excellent productivity. A valve compatible with the hammer is installed in series for great versatility. Two levels of fuel filtration protect the engine from contaminated diesel fuel. The Cat undercarriage is robustly designed to absorb job site stresses for improved performance and increased durability. Normal use buckets are designed for quick material unloading and cleaning. Work up to 4,500 m (14,760 ft) above sea level with engine power derating above 3,000 m (9,840 ft). The standard high ambient temperature capacity is 52 °C (125° F) with a cold start capacity of -25 °C (-13 °F).
Enhanced Security
Access all ground-level maintenance points, except for the engine oil level (it is not necessary for you to climb on the hydraulic excavator to check the filters or the greasing linkage). Benefit from great visibility in the trench, in every orientation, and behind you with smaller cabin pillars and larger windows. An optional rear vision camera improves visibility. The non-slip plate on the maintenance platform helps prevent slipping. The handrails comply with the requirements of ISO 2867:2011 for increased safety. Secure your hydraulic excavator with the user ID. Use your PIN code on the monitor to activate the start function via a push button. Improve safety on the construction site. Add an orientation alarm to warn colleagues when transitioning from trenching to backfilling and vice versa. An optional rollover protective structure (ROPS) certified ISO cabin is available in certain regions to better protect the operator in case of rollover.
