Proven IGBT Electric Drive System You will benefit from greater machine availability, reduced operating costs, and faster cycle times with our AC electric cable shovels that leverage the knowledge accumulated over our 30 years of experience: over 200 AC machines have been commissioned worldwide. A Simpler System A streamlined AC system design, with smoother operation, fewer components, and easier maintenance, is the advantage you will gain from three decades of continuous improvement. A unique and centralized control rack reduces the necessary parts, eliminates communication issues between racks, and simplifies maintenance. A simple and compact drive cabinet houses the controller and drives for easy installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Fuses, circuit breakers, and filters have been eliminated, reducing potential failure points and overall parts requirements. Parallel inverters have been removed to avoid uneven loads and reduce the number of inverters required by the system. IGBT modules have been designed to be interchangeable between inverters and Active Front Ends (AFE), and between movements and machines. A Safer System Your safety remains our top priority, and the design of our AC system proves it. The high-voltage DC bus is located at the back of the drive cabinet and is never exposed during maintenance or troubleshooting. The centralized control rack protects maintenance personnel from high-voltage components when troubleshooting the controller. The protection device blocks induced currents, eliminating the need for high-frequency bonding. A Robust Circuit Thanks to our AC circuit, designed to work in the toughest mining conditions, your cable shovel stays in service. The drive cabinet, welded for robustness, is designed to withstand significant and constant vibrations. A positively pressurized insulated chamber houses the drive/controller cabinet to protect it from dust and debris.
