Lower Maintenance Costs
The increased lifespan thanks to the renovated powertrain, the new modular design, and the new machine protection functions can allow you to save up to 2,400 hours of maintenance over the lifespan of the machine. The Cat C27 engine, the 533 mm (21 in) transmission, and the lower powertrain ensure an additional 33% machine service life before any renovation. Thanks to their innovative modular design, the removal and installation of main components are simple and fast. The removal of the transmission and cooling kit takes up to 70% less time than on the 24M model. The ground-level fluid maintenance center provides unique access to the engine, transmission, hydraulic oil, and coolant. This feature, along with grouped filters and extended maintenance intervals, allows you to save maintenance time and operating costs. The hoses and electrical harnesses are divided at easily accessible locations on the partition, allowing maintenance technicians to work more easily and quickly on reduced sections. The Ok-to-Start and critical threshold level monitoring systems protect your machine by checking fluid levels and alerting you when low levels are detected.
Optimize Performance
The C27 Cat engine allows for increased operating capabilities at high altitudes without derating up to 3,048 m (10,000 ft) for machines compliant with EPA Tier 4 (United States)/Stage IV (European Union) emissions standards and up to 4,572 m (15,000 ft) for standards equivalent to Tier 2/Stage II emissions standards. The 11% increased weight compared to the 24M model contributes to improved traction and vertical pressure exerted on the blade. The constant ground power adjusts the engine power levels in real time to compensate for cooling fan losses, resulting in optimal performance at all times, regardless of ambient conditions.
Ensuring a Safe Construction Site
Fifteen fixing points located around the engine hood and cabin, equipped with secure fastening hooks, protect you and your technicians during maintenance operations. The optional working at height kit provides even more safety with handrails and handles that facilitate access and increase security. The Model 24 is a machine pre-equipped for a fire suppression system, which means you can easily install a fire suppression system to protect your investment. The standard rear vision camera ensures better visibility from the cabin to the rear of the machine, while forward-facing cameras (optional) improve visibility to the front and sides. The standard seat belt indicator emits visual/acoustic warnings if the seat belt is not used. The Model 24 is pre-wired so you can easily install a beacon on top of the cabin, indicating seat belt usage.

The Model 24 offers asset protection and performance enhancement technologies, including: engine overspeed/underspeed, second-generation steering circuit, articulation eStop, automatic ripper storage switch, equipment neutralization, and rotation angle limits, to name just a few. The Cat GRADE system with standard cross slope function improves driver productivity, track quality, and lifespan by allowing for easier maintenance of the desired cross slope for proper water drainage by automatically controlling one side of the blade. The Cat Model 24 is pre-equipped for the MineStar™ system and includes Cat Product Link™ Elite and VIMS™ systems to optimize equipment management, remote monitoring capabilities, machine availability, and component lifespan, while reducing repair costs and the risk of serious failure.
