Optimal Maneuverability and Control
Robust transmission system driving double displacement planetary motors on each foot, using a cross-drive scheme to increase traction in straight cuts. Thanks to the automatic traction control, the speed remains constant in the most difficult applications. The articulation of the rear right foot optimizes stability and traction during demanding cutting work while improving the ability to cut close when necessary. Optional ballast weight kit available to increase productivity in certain applications. Options for tire or track undercarriage offer good grip, speed, and maneuverability. The reliable track undercarriage option takes advantage of proven Cat dump truck designs and an automatic tensioning system to ensure consistent performance and longer chain life. Ability to change rotor speeds electronically during operation.
A Comfortable Working Environment
Comfortable use with a standard suspension seat, an adjustable height console, and intuitive and ergonomic controls. Sliding operator station up to 215mm (8.5 in) for better visibility on the cutting blade. Work possible day and night thanks to backlit keyboards and well-lit work areas. The touchscreen displays the instrument cluster, operating information, remote camera feeds, machine controls, and diagnostics. Optional remote cameras improve visibility on the cutting blades, conveyor, and rear of the machine. Closer cutting to obstacles on the right side thanks to an optional remote camera above the cutting deck with adjustable on-screen guidance. Possibility to add windshields for increased comfort. Maximize dust elimination in work areas with the optional dust reduction system.
Durable Cutting System
The rotor drive system includes an extra-strong dry clutch, a two-stage belt, and an automatic belt tensioning system to prevent slipping. Reinforced cutting chamber for longer life. Full-length side plate hardened skis and anti-fracture pads reduce wear and maintenance.
Priming Precision With Integrated Cat Technology
Get precise and automatic cutting with the integrated Cat GRADE feature, equipped with the Grade and Slope system. The optional leveling control box can be positioned in the cab or at the rear of the machine to interact with the ground leveling system. Have complete control over longitudinal and transverse leveling from any control box. Easily switch between tilt sensors for continuous accuracy during milling. Adjust the speed at which the rotor enters the cut for optimal machine control. Set and automate entry/exit cut transitions and save settings for future missions. Easily overcome obstacles on the cutting path with the obstacle passage feature. Optimize milling with the integrated 3D feature (additional hardware required).
Easy Maintenance
Maintenance is simplified and faster thanks to large access doors that allow access to crucial components. Maintenance-free chain components and easy-to-replace chain pads reduce maintenance costs. Standard ground-level controls and an optional hydraulically operated rotor rotation device simplify tip removal and replacement. Use certain machine functions during maintenance and servicing thanks to the auxiliary drive system. The electrical circuit wiring is color-coded and numbered for easy identification. It is also protected by an abrasion-resistant nylon braid, ensuring increased lifespan. Extended hydraulic oil maintenance intervals: 3,000 hours without oil sampling, 6,000 hours with oil sampling. Planned chain maintenance with Cat Product Link™ telematics services. Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) monitor machine circuits to alert the operator of performance issues. They can be paired with Product Link options to enable additional remote services from your local Cat dealer. Environmentally friendly, multi-component cartridge engine filters reduce waste and lower replacement costs. Optimal parts availability, conveniently located dealers, and maintenance repair kits simplify ordering of high-wear components.
